How to rip DVD for uploading to Dropbox

Note that the product tutorial below uses DVD Ripper for Windows screenshots to show you how to get the work easily done. The way to rip DVD to Dropbox videos on Mac OS X (including Mavericks and Yosemite) is the same. Please just make sure you've downloaded the right version.

Step 1. Import DVD movies

Launch the program and click Load DVD to add DVD folders, ISO files or IFO files. All added files will be displayed on the left item bar and you can preview them in the right Preview window as the picture below shows.



Step 2. Specify output format

As has been stated above, Dropbox supports MP4, etc video files. So you can just select "Common Video" > "H.264 High Profile Video(*.mp4)" as the output video format. If you want to stream DVD via Dropbox to your portable devices, there are many optimized presets for iPad, iPhone or Android depending on your device.



Step 3. Trim/Edit DVD files

Since Dropbox has limitations about the uploading video size(If you only have the free account, you only have 2 GB of space), please pay attention to the video size when ripping DVD movies for Dropbox.
